Conventional heat exchangers in refrigerators and air conditioners are typically made of copper tubes and aluminum fins, with a manufacturing process that includes pressing, bending, insertion, expansion, and welding. Recently, the use of thermally conductive composite fins has simplified manufacturing and allows them to replace heater components. Additionally, evaporators with a wider fin pitch are easier to defrost, and their faster overall heating reduces de-icing time and saves power.
