Introduction
S PLUS COMTECH CO.,LTD.
Basalt fiber is a pure inorganic fiber made by melting basalt, which forms as a result of volcanic activity, at 1,500°C and spinning it into filaments 9–20 μm in diameter using centrifugal force. Basalt fiber is non-toxic and eco-friendly, with no risk of asbestosis or carcinogenic effects.
Thanks to its excellent physical properties, basalt exhibits non-combustibility, heat resistance, thermal insulation, soundproofing, vibration damping, resistance to acids and alkalis, water corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and a lightweight yet high-strength profile, making it widely used across various industries.

Basalt Fiber Roving

Basalt fiber roving type products are composed of strong and heat-resistant filaments, providing durability even in harsh environments.
It outperforms E-glass. Its cost-effectiveness and performance comparable to carbon fiber make it suitable for large-scale composite material production.
Basalt fiber roving products are used in a variety of applications, including the production of unidirectional fabrics for construction, wrapping of pipes and cylinders, the production of fibers and geotextiles, building repairs, and as reinforcing material for various composite matrices.
Basalt Fiber Yarn
Textured basalt fiber is a durable, textured material with high heat resistance, flame retardancy, and low moisture absorption. It is excellent for applications requiring strength and thermal stability, such as the production of ropes and fabrics, and can replace carbon or aramid fibers in some applications.
Basalt twist yarn, made of 6μm to 13μm filaments and twisted 60 to 100 times per meter, is used for heat (650 to 980℃) and radiation-resistant fabrics with excellent electrical insulation, tensile strength, and high temperature resistance.

Basalt Fiber Chopped

Basalt fiber chopped strands are chopped continuous filaments ranging from 5.5 μm to 25 μm in diameter and 3 mm to 100 mm in length. Coated with various coupling agents for a variety of applications, they offer excellent dispersion and properties, including high-temperature stability, low-temperature cracking resistance, fatigue resistance, and antistatic properties. These chopped strands are used in a variety of applications, including asphalt reinforcement in high-grade highways, cement concrete structures and road reinforcement, as a reinforcing agent in resin composites, and as a high-temperature, corrosion-resistant filter media.

Basalt Fiber Fabric

Basalt fiber fabrics, with a variety of weaves, are stronger than glass fiber and more cost-effective and sustainable than carbon fiber. Their excellent heat resistance makes them widely used in the composites, shipbuilding, aerospace, construction, and automotive industries, particularly in high-temperature and reinforced applications.
Basalt UD fabrics are used as a cost-effective alternative to carbon fiber unidirectional fabrics, reinforcing structures by enhancing the flexural and shear strength of concrete, masonry or wood, while providing a more economical solution.
Basalt fiber multiaxial fabrics are made from strong and durable basalt rock fibers. They offer superior heat and chemical resistance compared to glass fiber multiaxial fabrics, while being more cost-effective than high-strength, lightweight carbon fiber multiaxial fabrics. While not as strong or stiff as carbon fiber, basalt fiber is an intermediate composite material suitable for a variety of industrial applications.
Basalt Mesh & Geo-Grid
Basalt mesh and geogrid are strong, lightweight alternatives to metal reinforcement in construction, offering improved efficiency and durability. Ideal for reinforcing walls, roads, and repairing transportation facilities such as airports, runways, and highways, they are 2.6 times lighter than metal, making installation easier. Furthermore, Basalt mesh and geogrid offer a longer lifespan than metal and fiberglass options, making them an environmentally friendly construction solution.

Basalt Fiber Tape

Basalt fiber tape is a resilient material resistant to heat, aging, chemicals, and moisture, and is intended to replace carbon and aramid fibers in some applications. Ideal as an insulator, this tape manages heat in engine and exhaust systems, protecting automotive components in a wide range of vehicles and machinery.
Basalt Fiber Sleeve
Composed of high-quality fibers, Basalt fiber knit sleeves can withstand continuous temperatures up to 760°C. They offer excellent heat resistance, chemical stability, and strength, providing thermal protection for a variety of exhaust systems in automotive, marine, and heavy machinery applications. Their flexible and adaptable nature allows for easy installation on irregular surfaces, while their knitted design protects hoses, tubes, pipes, and cables from extreme heat and fire hazards.
Woven from high-quality basalt yarn, basalt fiber braided sleeves offer excellent electrical insulation and resistance to high temperatures, chemicals, and abrasion. They are the optimal solution for protecting hoses, tubes, pipes, and cables in harsh conditions within the metallurgical, chemical, automotive, and aerospace industries, protecting against extreme heat and fire hazards.

Basalt Chopped Mat

Basalt Fiber Chopped Strand Mat (CSM) is a nonwoven material composed of basalt fibers bound with an organic binder. Compared to glass fiber CSM, it exhibits better mechanical properties, higher temperature resistance, and greater chemical stability. Environmentally friendly and more durable, Basalt CSM is ideal for high-performance applications in the automotive, construction, and marine sectors. Its corrosion resistance makes it superior to glass fiber mats in highly corrosive environments.
Basalt Fiber Needle Felt
Basalt fiber needle felt is a heat-resistant and flexible insulator with low thermal conductivity. It can withstand temperatures from -260°C to 900°C. It can be easily molded into complex shapes and is chemically stable and durable. It is suitable for soundproofing, heat preservation, fire resistance, filtration, and exhaust systems. It is non-combustible and suitable for fire-resistant insulation in electrical and underground applications.

Basalt Fiber Veil

Manufactured using wet laid basalt chop type, basalt fiber bales are a versatile material tailored to enhance the surface in GRP pipe production, storage tank fabrication, hand lay-up and compression moulding processes, providing an enhanced FRP finish.
Basalt Fiber Rebar
Basalt fiber rebar is a non-conductive, non-magnetic reinforcing material with excellent electrical insulation, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic equipment and ensuring uninterrupted accuracy. It is suitable for applications sensitive to electromagnetic interference, such as MRI rooms, seismic observatories, and military and communications facilities. This rebar is chemically inert, ensuring compatibility with concrete without bending deformation, and enhances building safety by preventing electrical accidents and fires.
